server for cacti

hi,

I need build cacti server to monitor 1400 devices and 13000 graph?
how about the server power

CPU ?
RAM?

In general, there's no such weak system these days, that you can't do your mileage. Apart from using spine, there's nothing unusual to do

Hi,

now i user server IBM system P 5: 8 CPU, 8GM for cacti server to monitor
700 host and 6900 graph

cacti 0.8.7e
spine 0.8.7e

but wen the system poll the performance as display in the picture:

And what is the problem?
Be happy to use a program that finally USES your ressources!

No problem, but when i use cacti server to monitor about 1400 hosts and 14000 graphs. which power server can be ready for?

is the sever have: IPM P5 8CPU, 32G RAM ok?
i don't care about that and ask you about this ?

That's a huge system, see e.g. http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=6206 for some metrics. It should easily run 5 times that number of data sources
