Hi All,

we have problems in logging our cacti with admin account, some changes was done on the cacti settings which causes this problem, please how can we change that seetings withought logging as admin.

Hi,

Unfortunitly i dont think so, beacause i do remember the password but when i logged using this account ( the admin ) it re ask the username and the password againg but dont inform that the password and or the user name is wrong, just as i told some changes done on the settings cause this problem and i cant logged as admin to reset that changes.

Ok, but the post I included shows you how to reset the password for the admin account ?

How can i connect to the Cacti database at the command line, i Know its really easy question but i dont know it,

might be easier to use something like PHPMyAdmin ?

really thanks for ur help, but unfortuinitly the password was resetted but after that new problem happened which now it inform that the pasword is invalid, this is only for the admin ( the one that was resetted ) other not admin users works properly, please help

If you're unable to follow the documentation on how to reset the admin password, we can provide no additional help.

Could you disable UserAuth?

mysql cacti -e "update settings set value=0 where name='auth_method'"

After than, you can freely access cacti without any auth
