SPINE: Poller[0] FATAL: Connection Failed

Hi,

I have now managed to compile spine for solaris 10 x86 and have rebuild mysql and all seems to be up and running apart from the fact that the spine poller has the following issues when running ;

Code: Select all

AM - SPINE: Poller[0] FATAL: Connection Failed, Error:'1251', Message:'Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client' (Spine init)

I have googl'ed it and I have restarted mysql with the --old-password option but this does not seem to cure the problem

What version is your PHP and MySQL?

how about mysql client?

if you are talking about mysql-connector that is version 6.0.2

mysql-connector was the source/tar ball I got from mysql.com such that the threads would work while compiling spine.

Is there another mysql-client package / tar ball available which contains the same libraries as mysql-connector ????
