Status of Cacti 0.8.7f (Do not use)

Post by rony »

We are currently advising people to not install Cacti 0.8.7f due to the following issues:

- LDAP authentication for login produces a warning about an undefined index
- Automatic page refresh on graph views does now function
- Unable to update graph permissions in user management
- Deleting a graph tree does not work with Plugin Architecture installed
- If using snmp binaries some snmp get requests will fail

If you have already upgraded to 0.8.7f, you can simple move back to 0.8.7e.

Cacti 0.8.7g will be release on June 7th to address these issues.

Sincerely,
The Cacti Group

How do I disable the "Install" when I roll back to 0.8.7e? I copied back my old directory and browsed to cacti, but then I got the Install guide, and it tells me that I cannot upgrade to 0.8.7e from 0.8.7f.

Blank Page Issues

Post by redmenn »

Hi Guys

Any chance of addressing the Blank Page issue, either on a fresh install or the installation of the Architecture. I've had this issue on both e and f versions of cacti.

Cheers

Usually that is the result of a missing PHP module - session, mysql etc...
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

Post by mturczan »

I'm not sure what it says about me that I've been checking the download page ever since I woke up to see if the new version had been posted for download...
but is everything still pointing in the direction that it will still be released today? :)

Found it, thank you. Still I'll wait for a official (stable) release (I don't want to take any risk on production system :]).

Agreed :)

However, I am running this on production, and I have to say, the B2 release is very stable.

We postponed all "corner case issues" but have a single fix on the road ahead. So we're almost set
