Data Query for Multiple CPU Cores (Linux with Net-snmp>5.

Post by n1ck3l »

Well, hello...

I want to make a little contribution, and share a data query that I've found very usefull.

This data query allows to add the data sources for each core in multiple CPU's system (Like a 2 Xeon dual core CPU System, showing 4 data sources in total).

It still needs some more polishing, but after the query you have the data sources to fill a nice graph.

Just import it, add to the data querys for your system, and run. It should give back a row for each core.

(Edit--Added the missing linux_cpu.xml) (sorry that)

You forgot to attach the linux_cpu.xml file

Hi,

I was wondering if you could help point me in the right direction.

What I need to do is get a count of the CPU cores on the monitored servers and then divide the load by the CPU cores.

The request has been made that I do the query of CPU cores via snmp rather than scripted.

Is there a way to get the cpu query that you've done to total the cores and return that simple figure rather than the table?

Another way I was thinking I could use this would be to use a cdef function to count the instances recorded by your graph and then use that to calculate the required load/cpu cores figure.

Thanks

Hello all.
Could You help me? Please tell me, how I must usage this file in cacti to create a graph for CPU Utilization or give me a link for tutorial.

Thanks for advance.

PS. Sorry for my english.
