CPU and BW Graph By User

Post by rnbwpnt »

I would like to create CPU utilization and bandwidth utilization graphs on a by-user basis. Total number of users here is about four, so we're not talking any major number crunching, but I'd like to break it all out.

Has someone managed to do this and produced a howto or set of templates?

Do you want to have each user see "his own graphs" or do you want to create graphs that show e.g. traffic produced by a single user?

I want to show traffic produced by each user. I already understand how the authentication and access system works, and that isn't what I'm looking for, for the purposes of this question.

Does each "user" refer to a specific "host (e.g. desktop computer)"?
I'm quite sure you better should consider http://ntop.org

No. Individual UIDs on a single Linux box.
