2600+ interfaces are being graphed, using cactid. 45 seconds of run time, 5 threads. CPU load is about 5-6%

darn.. cactid 0.8.6b died on me...
i donno how to compile the .c version for the life of meeee.. :P

0.8.6c should be in CVS. Don't think Ian has released it yet. Can you test?

20 was the sweet spot.. THe times got better up to 20 and after 20 there was negligable change..

nope, thewitness, can't test... i ran out of space trying to grab cygwin.. lol... i'll just hang on until you guys are done with 0.8.6c :P

i'll pm you another one.. :) but anyhow i migrated my system to linux on the same system, just to see how it'll perform. now i gotta find some way to change those RRAs so that it will work :P getting some weird "archictecture differences" error.. :P

800 sources, 209 Hosts, 10 processes, CPU ~80% & mean time of 150 secs.

4x700MHz Xeon, 3.5 GB RAM - 49000 Data Sources (including sub-DS), 5 x cmd.php with run-time up to 250s keeping all CPUs on 50% in average.

I am running cactid on a PIII 800mhz laptop with 256meg of ram. I am polling 461 hosts and 3063 items. Have not hit the ceiling yet!!
