Hello,

i'm quite new to this forum, and it seens that this is the same problem i have also on my Cacti system:

My polling interval is 5 minutes
I am currenty monitoring 74 devices
Cacti 0.8.7b / Linux running on a ESX platform

Did you manage to find the solution for that behaviour in the meantime ?

Cheers,
Jacky

Spine is the preferred poller for snmp data. Also, in the more recent spines, snmp warning messages are suppressed. You may have to increase your snmp timeout value.

Also, when I ask for peoples log's and they don't respond, they get 0 attention. Most of this is about training.

Hello "TheWitness",

first of all, many thanks for your fast feedback.
I have changed the Poler type to spine in the meantime.
I will also increase the smtp timeout on one or two devices to see if there are some improvements.

What I didn't say in my last post, is that the system was working fine for a couple of month, an then this problem suddenly startet ....

Cheers,

Again, you cacti log tell the story. Also, you must have built and installed spine yourself. If you did not, you will be disappointed.
