Cisco 6500 : problem for creating interface graph

Hello,

I just want to graph some interface of a cisco 6500, but when I want to create a new graph, I can't create a graph for the interface... as you can see in the picture attached (picture 2)...

In the picture 1 attached, we can see the SNMP information, and the data query debug information.

Another thing : SNMP gives me an IP address that isn't the IP address of the 6500 :

How can I do ? There is an other data query (interfaces statistics) specially for cisco 6500 ?

Normally when these items are grey, it means the graphs are already created.

Did you try to manually snmpwalk your cisco 6500?

Maybe something with your SNMP settings in the device settings are wrong.

No, I try, but I don't have the password to connect me...
But, this switch is already graphed on a "old" cacti (I have installed a new Cacti) ; and it works perfectly... and yet, I have the same parameters... except the version of RRDTool that is 1.0.x on the old cacti, and 1.2.x on the new (but I use the 1.3.1!). The errors can come from that ?

Well, you do not have the SNMP settings? How did you set your snmp settings inside cacti, when you do not know them? When you set up a new cacti, you must have entered the snmp settings somewhere?

RRDTool, I think, has nothing to do with that, because it's not used for retrieving data.

I think it's kind of hard to troubleshoot your problems, when you do not know your snmp settings.

My suggestion is:
a) verify your snmp settings inside cacti
b) snmp walk your 6500 from outside cacti
c) check the bug report (whats the version of your new cacti? Also 0.8.7.b?)

My suggestion is:

I think you are using Cacti on a *nix-System?
Goto your *nix-Console and type:

snmpwalk -v <snmp version you are using> -c <communitystring> <name of your 6500> system

Also try one of these:

Does this work? What is the output on your console? If this doesn't work, something is wrong with your snmp settings or the snmp settings on your 6500 (but you said it works from a different cacti).
If it works then I think it's
a) wrong settings inside cacti (your screenshot) Also check the settings in console / management / device / <your6500> Are you really using snmpv2? or is it maybe v1?
b) bug report issue

If you are 100% sure your SNMP communitystring, version and IP is correct - And also there is no additonal configuration on your 6500 (like need any kind of awkward permission to retrive MIBs) - I am quite sure it is an SNMP issue and not a cacti issue.

Last hint I can give you is to update your cacti - because bug report says 0.8.7b has some troubles similar to your issue.

The "old" cacti have all the cisco 6500, and all work. It is a 0.8.7.b version like the "new" cacti...!

Are the SNMP settings in your old Cacti installation, where everything works fine, are the same SNMP settings as in your new Cacti Installation, where not everything works fine? Are these settings completely identical? (Also check inside the device, not only the default settings within Console/Configuration/settings)

The bug report, which I posted you, says version 0.8.7b - the version you run - has got a problem similar to yours. So an unliky solution (because snmpwalk doesn't work either) to your problem could be to upgrade your new cacti installation to e.g. 0.8.7e.
