adding date and time of last update to graph

Post by eddy »

I am using Cacti 0.6.7 on a win2k server along with apache 1.3.24. and I have created a large number of graphs monitoring our wan.

Now I would like to be able to display the date and time of the last update on the graph. Does anyone now how this can be done?

I have seen examples of this but can't for the life of me figure out have to get this information onto a graph. :o

Here's how I would do it:

Create a data input source that calls:
/bin/date
No inputs, and one output (don't check save to RRA though) representing the date/time. Then create a data source using this new data input source.

Lastly, put a COMMENT on each graph that you want this on and put:
<outfieldname>
(Where outfieldname, is the name of the output field for the data input source).
