[Solved] Plugins with cacti version 0.8.7b

Post by French_Poul »

Hello,

I have juste a small question : I use cacti version 0.8.7b with the plugin architecture, can I install all the existing plugins, or there is some plugins that need the new version...?

Must I found a special version of the plugins for install them with my cacti version?

Thank you in advance for your responses.

There are some plugins supporting plugin architecture 1.x not any longer. If I remember correctly plugin architecture 2.x is not available for Cacti 0.8.7b. (I believe last version was 1.4 beta). You have to take a look at the different README files. A brief summary of different plugins can be found under http://docs.cacti.net/plugins, too.

I think I have installed the plugin architecture v2, because the file I have it's : cacti-plugin-0.8.7b-PA-v2.1.diff ...

I don't know if the it's the right plugin architecture for version 0.8.7b, but for the moment it works...

So, if I understand good, with the plugin architecture v2, all others plugins work. Ok.

Thank you.

In that case everything should work. PIA 2.x supports plugins written for 1.x, too.
