[solved] SNMP Get Error message

Problem with SNMP Get command. I'm having issues with an SNMP get command working correctly. I get an error message which states
Cannot find module <IB-MIB:At line 0 in <none>
Cannot find module <IP-MIB>:At line 0 in <none>
and many more.

I've researched this error message and it appears to be something with the path of the MIB files. I'm running Cacti 8.7.e on Windows 2003 and used the installer package that was created for Windows. Checked previous documentation and can't seem to find the solution for this.

It is advised to not use MIBs with cacti. This slows down performance. For windows, you might want to set a specific, single MIB file for the MIBS environment variale to suppress parsing each and every mib file

I've not changed anything that I'm aware of and I used the Windows installer package that you created.

I've confirmed that the MIBDIRS variable points to the c:\php\extras\mib folder and I've not changed anything there. The only file in the c:\php\extras\mib directory is an index file.

I'm fairly new to Cacti so can you give me a layman's answer if possible.

1) please attach the cacti-installer.log file generated. Something obviously went wrong during the installation process.

2) Does c:\usr\ folder exist? If so, copy the mib files from there to the c:\php\extras\mib\ folder. Otherwise, you'll have to download the PHP ZIP installer file, which will contain a set of standard MIB files.

Yes, this directory exists but it appears to be mostly empty. Has the following directory structure.

\\USR\SNMP\Persist\snmpapp.conf.

That's it.

You say you ran it on Windows 2003, yet the installer shows something Vista or newer. Do you know what OS you really run?

What version of the installer did you use? It doesn't look like the latest release.

Otherwise, you'll have to download the PHP ZIP installer file, which will contain a set of standard MIB files.

Sorry, my mistake it is Windows 2008 and I loaded what I thought was the latest version at that time. I installed this server back around November 2009.
