Cisco 4507ER NO IPs

Post by cgaeth »

I've been doing lots of searching and reading but can't get this one figured out. The only data I am not seeing in Mactrack is the IPs. I am using the SVN version dated 3/29. The 4507ER is the layer 3 switch on the network. I also have sever Dell 5324 switches on the network as well. I also get the port info and MACs there as well but no IPs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What scanning function are you using? What is the ifDescr for the cisco device? Is it running IOS or something else?

Also, for you to get good data from a layer 2 switch, you must pair it with the Layer 3 router that services it.

The layer 2 switches are paired with the Cisco. The Cisco is running IOS. I will have to pull the other data when I get back into the office.

Does the IOS scanning function not work?

I am using get_IOS_dot1dTpFdbEntry_ports for the port scanning and get_standard_arp_table for the IP scanner. I have also tried get_CTAlias_table and get_netscreen_arp_table with the same result, no IPs returned.

IOS scanning does return information on the ports. I am getting some MAC addresses back just no IPs.

Walk the entire MIB and PM it to me. Use the following Syntax:

Code: Select all

snmpwalk -On -v 2c -c <your community> <your hostname> .1.3
