Reversing Graph Datasources

Post by cdx »

I'm trying to get my graph traffic datasources reversed so that traffic usage is in relation to the endpoint connected and not the switch itself.

I've tried duplicating the graph template and swapping the items so that traffic_in = "Outbound" and traffic_out = "Inbound". When looking at the graph in debug mode it in fact does show them being swapped but the actual graph/numeric data doesn't actually swap.

If I then go into each graph and then manually change them to say traffic_in = "Inbound" the graph shows as expected. I am trying to avoid having to go into each graph and change them is there a better way to accomplish the above?

See the Traffic Graph Template.
Remember the two graph items, reading Inbound and Outbound.
Rename the text "Inbound" to "Outbound" and vice versa

Thanks for the suggestion. Seems I was on the right path wrong location. I have done what you said but I'm still having problems with datasources swapping. Can you take a look at these 2 exports and see what could be causing the problem?

The process I followed was:
duplicate template
change Inbound to Outbound and Total Out to Total In
move Traffic In to the top so the order matches in the comment section of the original graph
