[SOLVED] Wmic on Linux doesnt show perfdata

Post by Alphadog »

Hi there, just tried to monitor a HP EVA 4400 by using the performance data of EVAperf but my windows doestn talk to me anymore using wmic -.-

and so I think thats the main reason I dont get any .rrd files written.

when i try to run the command

Code: Select all

wmic -U DOMAIN/User%password //host "select * from Win32_PerfRawData
i have to wait about 5 minutes and then I get :

Code: Select all

ERROR: Retrieve result data.
NTSTATUS: NT code 0xc002001b - NT code 0xc002001b
I have tried the wmiadap command but this one doesnt work -.-

If anyone has an idea please let me know ...

How is this cacti related exactly?

0xC002001B = RPC_NT_CALL_FAILED = The RPC failed.

Are you sure that device is up/functional? Do any WMI commands work against it? IF not, then you need to troubleshoot the wmi connectivity issues.

So ok ...

I reinstalled CommandView and its seems as if I'm getting some Data ...

Cacti doesnt graph anything but my wmic gives me some outout ... fine ...

now could anyone tell me why my cacti doesnt create graphs ???

There's no new *.rrd file in my rra directory.

Heres what the Graph debug says :

Code: Select all

RRDTool Command:
/usr/bin/rrdtool graph - \
--imgformat=PNG \
--start=-86400 \
--end=-15 \
--title="5001-4380-04C6- - Throughput" \
--base=1024 \
--height=120 \
--width=500 \
--upper-limit=1048576 \
--lower-limit=0 \
--vertical-label="bytes/sec" \
--slope-mode \
--font TITLE:12: \
--font AXIS:8: \
--font LEGEND:10: \

LINE2:cdeff#FF0000FF:"Write Bytes" \

GPRINT:cdeff:AVERAGE:"Average\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:cdeff:MAX:"Maximum\:%8.2lf %s\n"
RRDTool Says:
ERROR: opening '/usr/share/cacti/site/rra/kdl-vcb_readlatencyus_136.rrd': No such file or directory

Found this in the Cacti Logfile

Code: Select all

1) what poller? if using spine, does cmd.php work instead?
2) after pinging the EVA Host, does cacti say its up or down?
3) looking in the poller cache for the EVA Host, is there anything in there?
