Spine output shows drop of latest bit from hex value

Post by bevoechs »

After some debugging of why collected data and graphs are not as expected, it seems that Spine output shows drops of latest bit from several hex values.

Anyone seen this or any hints to debug further ?

Setup:
Windows + XAMPP 1.7.3
Cacti 0.8.7e + latest patches (3)
Spine 0.8.7e
net-snmp 5.5.0
rrdtool-1.2.30-bin-w32

Example for 1 specific OID ...

OidView:
connUnitPortStatCountTxElements connUnitPortStatUnitId connUnitPortStatIndex
0-0-0-0-0-0-40-236 16.0.0.33.90.47.20.202.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0 8

manual convert:
0-0-0-0-0-0-40-236 -> 00-00-00-00-00-00-28-EC

Net-snmp:
snmpwalk.exe -Of -c public -v 1 -t 2 testhost .1.3.6.1.3.94.4.5.1.6.16.0.0.33.90.47.20.202.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.8.iso.org.dod.internet.experimental.94.4.5.1.6.16.0.0.33.90.47.20.202.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.8 = Hex-STRING: 00 00 00 00 00 00 28 EC

Cacti:
03/23/2010 03:42:06 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] Host[40] DS[1581] SNMP: v2: testhost, dsname: txelement, oid: .1.3.6.1.3.94.4.5.1.6.16.0.0.33.90.47.20.202.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.8, value: 00 00 00 00 00 00 28

value: 00 00 00 00 00 00 28
should be
value: 00 00 00 00 00 00 28 EC

Thanks in advance,
Steve
