cacti installation "FILE NOT FOUND" for spine path

Post by pariya31 »

Hello fellow networkers,

I was wondering if one of you can help me with an issue I encounter.

I'm trying to install cacti on ubuntu 8.04 and came across this issue.

I followed the instructions and all is well until I checked the path for
SPINE POLLER FILE PATH---- it shows as ERROR: FILE NOT FOUND

can someone please help me get around this.

THanks in advance,
Patel

So did you enter your correct path there manually? Is spine installed?

Which version of cacti do you use?
Find out if spine is even installed on you system (e.g. on freebsd ls -lcrt /var/db/pkg/*/+DESC | grep spine)
Find out where spine is installed (e.g. locate spine, mostly it is in /bin/spine..)

Looks like spine is not installed nor it can be found on the system.

I'm running 0.8.7b on Ubuntu 8.04

Thanks a a million...
