Graph / Data stopped working.

Post by 4d4m »

Sorry, I'm a newbie when it comes to Cacti but I've been tasked with fixing it. We've been running out version for some time now (I think we set it up in 2007) and it has seemingly been running fine the whole time. Then as of last Saturday, at 2:00pm exactly, the graphs stopped reporting data. I can go back and see all the data before that time so I'm not sure if it is an issue with accessing the DB or not. I'm not completely sure where to start so I'll post some information I've gathered while reading other threads.

One important note: Our version of cacti is pretty old. We're upgrading it in April when I get a new server for it. I'm hoping to get it working till then.

Log (set to medium now):

That's just a couple lines. Seems like there should be some data collecting there.

II don't know the haloe. But it seems that is uses a seperated config file where you have to enter mysql user credentials?

Again, I didn't do the original install so I'm not sure what some of this stuff means. It looks like that's a logging plug in of some sort. Is there any other information I can supply that would be helpful?

I guess maybe I just need to reinstall the whole thing with a newer version.

There should be a README under ./plugins/haloe.
That's a start
