Does this plugin exist?

Post by Diggit2001 »

I'm looking for a way to display specified values in a simple list. For example, I'd like to have a list of all server uptimes where it just shows the numerical values that were retrieved from the last poll for all uptime graphs. Or perhaps just a list of all current server hard drive poll results.

Sorry for the rough explanation, it's sort of hard for me to describe.

Is there a plugin out there that can do this?

Thanks in advance.

There is an uptime plugin written by Gilles that may do what you are looking for. With a bit of tweaking, you could easily get the results you'd like.
Cacti Version 0.8.8b
Cacti OS Ubuntu LTS
RRDTool Version RRDTool 1.4.7
Poller Information
Type SPINE 0.8.8b

Uptime was just one example of what I'm hoping to do. I'm already capturing all the uptime data that I want with the Generic - Uptime data source. I'm just looking for a way to display all results for a specific data source in numerical values instead of graphs. I'd like to make lists/reports for stuff like system uptime, hard drive usage, CPU usage, etc.

Thanks for the response.

I sort of found an example of what I'm trying to do accidentally in the thold plugin. This image shows current values for stuff that I have thresholds set up for only. I would just like a way to show the "Name" and "Current" columns for any of my data sources that I choose, but without all the threshold stuff. Does anyone know of a plugin that will accomplish this?

Thanks again.

DSstats does this, but it's an infrastructure plugin and plugin developers must do the UI part.

Transporter also does this and already has a basic UI.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

Thanks for the tips. I will look into both of those.

Now that Weathermap is perfect, I was thinking I might write a browser for DSStats too... it'd be handy to be able to pick up all the NaNs in your data sources, amongst other things.

Yeah, I had seen the weathermap that DLNoah had posted on this http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t ... c&start=45 topic and he told me that he had done that with DSStats. I haven't started looking into this yet but it's on my to-do list.
