When I use cacti to monitor switch with gigabitethernet port,the topic is so long that the port description disappear.How can I use Gi short for gigabiteethernet and make the port description display on the topic.
You can't change the ifDescription in Cacti. You may edit the current graph title, but that's a lot of work.
Perhaps it would be better to increae the title length. See Settings -> Visual
