1 Minute polling.
Cacti 0.8.7e and Spine 0.8.7e
2 Xeons 2.0Ghz each 6 Gigs of RAM Linux 5.2 Enterprise.
Fine. The rule of thumb would say to reduce the processes to about 4 and increase threads to 10-15. But your results are already quite fine.

BorisL and I have been working on a new Boost 3.0 that provides a 2x reduction in Boost polling times. Will be released in a few days/weeks.

Hi

My stats compared with my old Cacti server. Currently migrating to a new server. Thought I'd compare the polling times between the two. More hosts in my new server but DS and RRD about the same give or take. Lets hope I can get sub 20 second polling once all hosts are migrated. Also using 1 minute polling for interface stats only on new server.

Why? 23 seconds should be perfectly fine.
