AscenLink 800 Templates

Post by cspenpen »

This template tests on linux. I modify interface.xml's OID value. It can be used in ascenlink 800. Maybe ohter ascenlink series work too..

installation
1.import all data_query,data_template,graph_template
2.copy ascenlink.xml to <yourcactidir>/resource/snmp_queries

How it works
1.If you choice snmp method in "Downed Device Detection", and you will get error message, but it's ok. Because ascenlink use different oid value. You can use snmpwalk to check your ascenlink snmp is working.

snmpwalk -v 1 -c public <ascenlink ip> 1.3.6.1.4.1.8837

2.At graph_templates and data_queries add ascenlink templates and queries, and create graph.

Hi, I have problem with ascenlink, either create a new data source by using generic oid template, or use your templates, the outbound cannot capture any data. Do you know why?

thanks for your reply, snmpwalk is fine, but just cannot display the outbound, this is how it looks like, I thought it's the cacti problem, but I configure a second cacti in another server, the result is the same.

hi, I am so sorry for late reply, I didn't notice you have reply to my last post. I checked the cacti log but there is no error. Can you try to poll my ascenlink and see if you have the same problem? it's 203.142.36.90, snmp v2 community name: yahoomsn. I suspect it's the ascenlink problem. It shouldn't be the ascenlink firewall right? as long as we can poll data from it, the firewall should be ok I supposed.

Try This:

Device->SNMP Options->Maximum OID's Per Get Request

set "1" for this~

It's done, but not working.
can't even use "Preview Import Only", no respond, only same error message.

That is because the attached file is purely the XML data for the data query/input. It's not a full template file that can be imported.
