Some APC monitoring

What version did you export this with? On both 0.8.5a and 0.8.6 it just does nothing. I seem to be able to import everything else just fine though.

Was exported with 8.6 but been having issues with graph exports/imports, currently trying to sort out.

The new template works like a champ after I changed over to SMNP v1. On error codes I'm showing a code 4 blackout? I don't think so?

Still doesn't load on 0.8.6a. I upgraded to 0.8.6b and the orginal imports and works fine. I am using SNMPv1. Haven't tried v2 though. I'm not sure that the APC Network Management card even supports v2.

Error code is the reason for the occurrence of the last transfer to ups battery power.

black out 4 = if the duration of the outage is greater than five seconds and the line voltage is between 40% of the rated output voltage and ground

Sorry if this out dated, but

I installed these and its working great. However, like Jerry I'm showing the last state of the error for the error code.

So I went and looked up the OID for the current state of the UPS.

The OID I'm looking at is: .1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.11.1.1.0

It says in the MIB that it's "an ASCII string containing the 64 flags representing the current state(s) of the UPS"

When I run "snmpget" on the OID, it returns 0001010000000000001000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Which I'm assuming is Flag 4, "Online"

I assume that's a binary for something I converted it to decimal and I really don't see anything important and then I converted it to Hex and I don't see anything important. So what am I supposed to do with this really long string?

If anyone could shed some light on this, I would very much appreciate it.

Apc template problem ..

I recieve an error " Error: XML: Cacti version does not exist. "
when tying to feed this template to cacti 0.8.6d, but no error when
adding it to 0.8.6c. I was under the impression that templates
wouldnt be "backwards compatible" , but this behavior seems
opposite of that .. Is this a template or cacti version problem?

How do I get around it ?

I hope you don't mind but I took what you did here and added some additional stuff like input/output frequencies, output load amperes, output load voltage and output load wattage.

I did this specificaly for an APC SU5000RM with an AP9606 card. not sure if the OIDs are the same on other APCs.

After Applying this template The Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly RRA
values are reset back to the defaults. If you have modified your RRA
values , be sure to reset them after applying this template.

My system keeps 7 days of 5min averages, 6 weeks of 30min, 6 months
of 2hour, and 2years of 1day.

I didn't see this in here anywhere and had seen reports of people not being able to calculate battery runtime remaining on the UPS or only being able to do it if the UPS was on battery.

Here's a template for doing this on battery or not.

I'm not sure if this works on any other UPS since I only have SU5000RMs with AP9606 cards.

Not too complicated, poll the UPS with OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.2.2.3.0 and then divide the result by 6000.
