Advanced Ping for 0.8.7e?

Post by Johnny Lingo »

Can anyone recommend an Advanced Ping template for Cacti version 0.8.7e?

Or anything that will graph latency and % of dropped packets.

Thanks!

Found this one:

Installs OK and even runs great from Script Server CLI, but graphs always show 100% packet loss

Sounds like a permissions issue. What user are you running it under CLI as?

I'm running as cactiuser. If I su cactiuser and run from the CLI, it works just fine. Also, changing cacti to run as root doesn't help.

Hmm.....I switched to TCP ping and then it started working marvelously.

My theory is this had something to do with running on a VM.
