This is what I did since the begining.
phalek wrote: Then, try the mpdf engine ( install is described in the quick install )
Installed it, but not using it. I can try to use it to see if it can solve the problem
phalek wrote: Nevertheless, make sure permissions are correct ( e.g. by using tar -xzvpf when extracting the plugin ). It's described in the guide, too.
Owner and group owner of the content of nmidCreatePDF directory are apache:apache since the begining. I don't see any permissions problems to access the content of any sub-directory in it.
phalek wrote: Also: make sure the logo is existing or empty and that the files in the images dir are writeable by the webserver. The same goes for the tmp dir within the plugin dir
I don't use logo and the field is empty in the settings.
tmp directory is writeable because I see two png files in it, having a size in bytes different than 0.

I test with the other PDF engine

I have good results using mPDF !!!

When I export only 1 cacti graph, I've a correct PDF including my graph this time.

Testing to export 10 graphs, I have a correct PDF of 6 pages with all my graphs.

I RECOMMEND ALL OF YOU TO USE mPDF !!! ;-)

And thanks a lot Phalek, You really saved my day with good support. And this is a really wonderful plugin.

Yes :-)

We are big european institution having tons of servers to monitor in two datacenters. We are European Investment Bank in Luxembourg.

And yes, you made good impression ;-)

I will see with directors here if it is possible to buy you a commercial edition (but I need a price for that)

But in european institutions, this kind of decision is extremely... slow!

Thank you very very much and have a great weekend. I will reconvene on monday with a better detail post of the errors still poping up.

Cheers man!!!

Thanks again
Phalek My Friend How ARE YOU;

Monday is here.....

FIRST Error...

When I Add a New Report....I get This

Code: Select all

Warning Notice: Undefined index: includeSubDirs in G:\cacti\plugins\nmidCreatePDF\nmidCreatePDF_addReport.php on line 215
When Adding Graphs to the report....I Get a New browser page wth following error

Code: Select all

404 - File or Directory not Found ....

and this is the Url on the page

http://cactiserver/cacti/plugins/nmidCreatePDF/graph_view.php?action=tree&tree_id=4&leaf_id=103&select_first=true
Aslo this shows up on the top left

Code: Select all

// nmidCreatePDF Addons START
//nmidCreatePDF Addons END

When to going back to the report Page, the added graphs are under "Local Graphs for this Report" section but for every entry I get

Code: Select all

Notice: Undefined index: sort_column in G:\cacti\plugins\nmidCreatePDF\nmidCreatePDF_addReport.php on line 467

Notice: Undefined index: sort_direction in G:\cacti\plugins\nmidCreatePDF\nmidCreatePDF_addReport.php on line 467
When trying to generate a report a pdf file pops up asking me to save it or open it. When opening the file Adobe reader complains that is not a supported file format or that the file is corrupted..

That's all for now.

Thank you

I'll have a look at this. Some of the issues above are already fixed in 0.8 which will be available shortly.

0.8 will be the last version with new features before the 1.0 release.

Ok, please download v0.8

also download the file v03_graph_087e.tgz and replace the graph.php with the one included there. It is based on the latest patch of cacti 0.8.7e

Hi:

version 0.8 has clear all previous warnings and Minor errors, but I'm still not able to generate a Report.... here some of the few things I'm now getting

- There is no check box to add individual graphs to the reports
- Still when adding graphs in "preview page" , it opens a blank
browse page with the following URL

Code: Select all

http://cactserver/cacti/plugins/nmidCreatePDF/graph_view.php?action=tree&tree_id=4&leaf_id=103&select_first=true

- Whenclicking on "Generate Report" a windows popup with the following error
Webpage error details

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.4506.2152; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; InfoPath.2; OfficeLiveConnector.1.4; OfficeLivePatch.1.3)
Timestamp: Mon, 18 Jan 2010 19:51:14 UTC

Message: Object expected
Line: 107
Char: 2
Code: 0
URI: http://cactiserver/cacti/plugins/nmidCr ... reportId=9
When clicking to the "Create Button". the PDF file blank with this error

Ok now:

download 0.81
download the v03_graph_087e.tgz ( again )
download nmidSmokeping.tgz

you need nmidSmokeping to get support for smokeping graphs in the Multi Report type of graphs.

You will need to uninstall/install the plugin to get the checkboxes in the thumbnails view.
