Cacti creates multiple copies of virtual interfaces

Post by NeilAgg »

Hello:

I am using Cacti to graph traffic on virtual interfaces.
Unfortunately, it seems Cacti is creating multiple interfaces for my guest machine which seems to be related to them getting a new MAC address every time they shutdown and restart.

When the inteface moves to a new MAC address, my graphs stops graphing and I have to delete and recreate them.

Is there a way to tell Cacti ot use the interface name since that will always be constant?

See the attached list of interfaces to see what I mean.

Thanks,
Neil
