editor bug

Post by trogs »

Just noticed an editor/weathermap bug, if editing an existing map, and you create a new node, and have a space in the node name, it will move the previous node to the location of the new one with the space in the name.

Anyone else noticed the same thing? just upgraded to the 0.97test4 now, behavior doesn't seem to have changed

The real bug here is that it shouldn't let you put spaces in node names.

The node/link name is used as a CSS id (before version 0.97 anyway), which can't contain spaces. It's also used in a NODES line, where the two node names are separated with... a space.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

OK - in fact, it's not the editor is it? The config parser reads your hand-edited config file, skips the second NODE line, which doesn't match the pattern for a NODE line, so all the following config is applied to the previous node. You should be getting a message in the logs about "Unrecognised config on line XXX" for the line with "NODE wordone wordtwo".
