[solved]syslog plugin alert and removal problem

Post by guitou »

Hello All

I use syslog 0.5.3 in cacti 0.8.7e and Plugin Architecture is 2.5
My syslog works well but when I click alert or removal, it returned blank page. Report works well too, but just only alert and removal didn't.

Any idea can fix this problem?

This probleme did not appear in syslog plugin 0.5.2

thx~

Syslog 5.3 was never released and is not release quality.

Hmm. Did not know that. I'll have to let BSOD know too.

I have install CAMM plugin but is too slow and not useful. So i've switchback to syslog plugin and the bug still exist.
in syslog 0.5.2, whole function are OK but this version empty the plugin management page
in syslog 0.5.3, plugin management page is OK but syslog rules "alerts" and removals" return a blanck page.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

I did some changes last night. Could be that I committed a bug :) Did you pull from SVN or take it from the Plugins site?

052 is WAY different. You should perform a clean re-install of Syslog in this case. Plus it's a 1.x plugin so you have to modify the plugins array in global.php.

The Witness,

I've drop syslog DB, put syslog 0.5.2 plugin in plugin dir
grant permission in SQL DB
import syslog.sql
put sysylog plugin in global.php
grant permission in user management

All is good but the plugin management page is now empty as i told your in prior post ... (see screenshot). I cannot manage other plugin compatible with 2.x

What's in your apache error log?

That's the access log not the error log.
