All,
is anyone aware of any known issues, work arounds or gotcha's using the HP UX 11.11 bundled SNMP agents with Cacti
Are there any recommended templates or known solid working templates for basic monitoring functionality (disk/cpu/memory/etc) for use with HPUX and the bundled SNMP daemon.
I'm having issues with certain machines and not getting a stable service, so before I start debugging this I'm calling on the forum for any known information or recommendation information.
thanks.

Well.. yeah, I guess I am familiar with issues with the default SNMP daemon that comes with HP-UX. In general I'd say: lose it as fast as you can. It's buggy and very limited in what it can and can't do. For instance: if you have to restart it for some reason, you will loose most of the functionality and only a reboot will get that back (somehow it won't hook back into the kernel, it seems).
In short: roam around the web for net-snmp compiled for HP-UX. It will do everything the bundled and crippled SNMP daemon that comes with UX does, but better, more reliable and faster.
