I've knocked up a host template with data and graphs for an APC AP7721 Automatic Transfer Switch. This is a rather nifty device that provides redundancy to any piece of kit that has a kettle (IEC C13) lead.
You can find the template, along with a few other APC templates (customized from templates found in the Cacti forums) at http://www.lothianproductions.co.uk/cacti
Comments, suggestions and other feedback always appreciated.

Hi
Thanks for the template. It works well for me, have only tested on one RAT though. I added a CDEF, CURRENT_DATA_SOURCE,10,/, to divide the Ampage by 10 to get the correct figure. It was showing 19 rather than 1.9 for the current amp on the output details graph. All the other figures seems to match up ok though.
Cheers
Jay

Hi
I have just noticed that one of the OIDS is incorrect in your template. You have used the same OID, 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.8.5.1.3.0 in both APC ATS Selected Source and APC ATS Redundancy State data templates. For the data template APC ATS Selected Source the OID should be .1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.8.5.1.2.0.
A walk shows this to be correct for me as it shows 1 NOT 2 when using the incorrect OID.
C:\Documents and Settings\bedfordj>snmpwalk -v2c -c public <ipadd> 1.3.
6.1.4.1.318.1.1.8.5.1.2.0
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.318.1.1.8.5.1.2.0 = INTEGER: 1
Cheers Jay

Hi,
I want to check with u guys on the i/p current for the ATS AP7721. From the datasheet, it says that the ATS consume 10A. It can't be that much rite? 10A is like powering up 2 fridges. ATS is just a switch, which I believe won't consume more than 3A current. However, can u goys confirm on that? Im calculating a power consumption for my project. Really need this info...pls help me on this. tq!

Re: APC Automatic Transfer Switch AP7721
Thanks a lot for going through the iterations required to make a graph template. After applying all of the fixes mentioned in this post, I also had this error for the ATS details graph:
ERROR:the RRD does not contain an RRA matching the chosen CF
The fix for me was to turn on LAST under RRAs as specified here:
http://forums.cacti.net/post-122652.html
and also to update the output current ds max value from 20 to 200.
