Interface Names in Reportit

Post by forlinux-support »

Hi,

I'm currently trying to get the interface aliases/descriptions to show up in Cacti Reportit reports; however so far I haven't had any luck finding information about how to do this - or whether it is even possible. Could anyone here let me know if it is doable, and if so point me in the right direction to achieve this.

Cheers

At first you have to setup the description of the data items. Therefore go to "Console"->"Report Configurations" and click on "edit(1234...)" on the right. Now you will see a list of your data items. Click on the description of the first one and setup the interface description under "subhead". (Till now only five variables will be supported.)
Tick the subhead check-box to display the interface description within the report view.

Best regards

Hi Andreas,

Thanks for the response. Specifically, is there any way of getting the variables |query_ifDescr| and/or |query_ifAlias| into the subheader?

Cheers,
