[SOLVED] FastCGI process exceeded configured activity timeou

Post by janasj »

Installed Cacti on Windows 2008 using BSOD installer. Everything worked fine.
Recently found for the new servers, "SNMP - Get Mounted Partitions " and "SNMP - Get Processor Information" shows status as "Success [0 Items, 0 Rows] "

When I click on reload dataquery or verbose query, I get error:
======================
Server Error in Application "DEFAULT WEB SITE/CACTI"Internet Information Services 7.0

Error Summary
HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error
d:\Cacti\php\php-cgi.exe - The FastCGI process exceeded configured activity timeout Detailed Error InformationModule FastCgiModule
Notification ExecuteRequestHandler
Handler PHP_via_FastCGI
Error Code 0x80070102
Requested URL http://localhost:80/cacti/host.php?acti ... ost_id=281
Physical Path d:\Cacti\cacti\host.php
Logon Method Anonymous
Logon User Anonymous
====================

Upgraded cacti manually to Version 0.8.7e, but that does not resolve this error either.

"SNMP - Interface Statistics " works very well and no errors on new servers.

I tried "reload data query" for CPU and disk on existing server which was working fine and get the same error.

I am not sure what change caused this issue, but need to fix this. HELP...

1) Make sure the FastCGI module for the OS is up to date. link.
2) Make sure you're using the latest version of PHP 5.2.x
3) I'd look around on google for that HR code and see what the solution is. Briefly searching, it appears one needs to lengthen the activitytimeout setting.

SOLVED: The FastCGI process exceeded configured activity tim

Hi all,

Fixed the issue. It was caused by ISA firewall client on the server. After removing this, everything started working fine.

Now sure why ISA client caused this issue, but ...I am happy.
