Blank graph

Post by koko »

Hi all...

i ve just install cacti 8,5a on a redhat9...with these packages:

httpd-2.0.50
net-snmp-5.1.2
rrdtool1-1.0.49
php-4.3.8
mysql-4.0.20
(is it all what i need...??)

With my browser i can log on it...i create a host and a graph, wich i can see but it is always blank...i make a test on a firewall cisco & a win2000server adv, same result, empty graph for all test...

i have to make this command on my redhat to see the graph:
/usr/bin/php /var/www/cacti/cmd.php
but stay always blank...

thx for ur help...

Once you have upgraded to the pre-release of 0.8.6a, disable you cron/task, clear you log file, change logging to debug, run poller.php from a command line and post both the logfile and STDOUT to this post and I can assist further.

npersad,

Could you please research the source of the attached. It should not be displaying.
C:/net-snmp/etc/snmp/snmp.conf: line 2: Warning: Unknown token: persistentDir.
C:/net-snmp/etc/snmp/snmp.conf: line 3: Warning: Unknown token: tempFilePattern.
This may have something to do with the problem. Also, at what time did you apply the patch. When you start getting the timeouts "Runtime exceeded" was it before or after the patch?

Thanks,

TheWitness

I don't know if this would help. Not much out there I'm afraid.

Hello ;)

I reinstall my redhat9 with these packages :

httpd-2.0.51
mysql-4.0.21
rrdtool-1.0.48
net-snmp-5.1.2
php-5.0.1
(do i need something else??)
And Cacti-0.8.6

Right now in my crontab i have this line :
*/5 * * * * cactiuser php /www/htdocs/cacti-0.8.6/poller.php > /dev/null 2>&1

and cron send me this mail "/bin/bash: line 1: php: command not found"

should i use cmd.php in my crontab file instead of poller.php...??

I can connect to cacti with my browser, there is some graph created by default on localhost...and they always stay blank...

read u...kokO--

Please upgrade to the latest pre-release of Cacti 0.8.6a prior to going into production. It can be located at http://www.cacti.net/downloads/beta

Also, poller.php must be scheduled.

Also, localhost may not work depending upon your configuration. Best to turn on SNMP and graph some interfaces using the IP address of the hosts.
