libcario

Post by griffinpet »

After moving to Ubuntu from Windows which gave me lots of problems I cannot get any graphs. Graph debug mod is returning this:

/usr/bin/rrdtool: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libcario.so.2: undefined symbol: FT_Library_SetLcdFilter

Either you mistyped the message, or someone made an error in your copy of rrdtool - the library is called libcairo.

How did you install rrdtool?
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

sudo aptitude install rrdtool
Then it seems you need to raise a bug report with the Ubuntu packagers that they haven't put the right dependencies on the rrdtool (or libcairo maybe) packages.

You could try installing libfreetype by using aptitude too, since that is what it is complaining about.

I just did a sudo aptitude install libfreetype6-dev but still have the same problem.
