perl is not recognized as an internal or external command

Hi All,

I installed 5.10 on my machine.In command prompt if i type perl -v it is giving the following error message "perl is not recognized as an internal or external command operable program or batch file".

Installation is successful.but still i am getting the above error.
Can any one help me in this regard.

The path to the perl binary is not in your system path variable.

hello, can you tell me what the path of the perl binary is? for the version you installed...i'm not sure what/where the binary filename is and would like to try adding it to my path also.

Perl is not a required dependency of Cacti, thus you have to install it yourself.

If you are installing it under Windows, the path would be c:\perl\bin\perl.exe
