Some graph viewing features

Post by nisrak »

Hi,
I am working on a system that incorporates Cacti with uPortal. Users can securely log in to uPortal and customize their interface by adding tabs and channels that contain specific Cacti graphs. I am embedding the pages created by Cacti that contain graphs into uPortal channels. So far I have most of it working, but there seems to be some features that the users want that are not immediately available through Cacti functionality.
Users want the ability to see multiple graphs side-by-side with the ability to zoom into all of them and see the legends. Preview mode from Cacti provides the graphs together, but we they are not zoom-able and show no graph legends. Conversely, when selecting a single graph, we can zoom but there is no way to have multiple graphs displayed at once.
I was wondering if there is a simple way to get this functionality without coding some sort of front-end myself. I have searched for a plugin or addon that would do this and haven't found anything that does this. I would really appreciate any advice or suggestions.

Thanks.

Cacti does not have such a feature yet. It was already requested and to me it seems a valid feature request.

You should consider writing a patch and contributing it to the Cacti Group.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
