[FIXED] Cacti doesn't work after installing PA

Post by Tibo »

Hello. I have a problem after installing the lastest version of Plugin Architecture: I have a HTML 500 Error

Explanation: I had an old version of Cact (0.8.7c) so I upgraded it to 0.8.7e which worked fine and everything runs correctly.

However, i lost my plugins (I supposed that I have to re-install a new version of PA). I follow the procedure but after that, I have a HTML Error 500 and I don't know why.

Do you have any clue?

Operating System: Windows Server 2003
Webserver: Apache 2.2.11
Cacti: 0.8.7e
MySQL:
PHP: 5.2.5
Net-SNMP: 5.4.2.1
Plugin Architecture: 2.5

Look in the apache error log. You'll get a more detailed error than "500".
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

I have the following error message:

PHP Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required 'C:/mrtg/wwwroot/Cacti/cacti/index.php' (include_path='.;C:\\php5\\pear') in Unknown on line 0

FYI, the cacti directory looks good C:/mrtg/wwwroot/Cacti/cacti/index.php

is it a permission issue?

Sounds like it is a permissions issue, if the file does exist.

Look in the Windows section of the forum for BSOD2600's Windows installation guide. Sorry, I don't use Windows for Cacti.

ok, it seems that once I installed the PA, permission on a lot of files changed... very strange but once I fixed the permission, it works.

hum weird actually.
