Hi all. I have recently CactiEZ and got it up and running monitoring my network devices using SNMP and had a blast doing it. Recently I learned that you can run Ntop along with Cacti and set about configuring it(took a while as I'm not familiar with linux/unix ).
To make a long story short I finally managed to get it up and running today, got the ntop tab in cacti and everything.
The problem is that I can monitor only the directly connected network with ntop and I can't view the netflows from 2 remote Cisco routers that I plan on using as probes.
The routers send the flows ok using different UDP values, they reach the machine with Cacti/ntop(used an ACL here to verify), I permitted the UDP traffic from routers to the machine in the Linux firewall of Cacti, created virtual interfaces with ports and networks/masks where routers are. But when I switch to the virtual interfaces I get no graphs no nothing.
I'm now totally confused because I think I did everything that should be done according to tutorials but still can't monitor remote networks where my routers are. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
