On your Cacti server can you run this command,

snmpget -v2c -c community_string ip_address .1.3.6.1.3.100.5

Replace community_string with the SNMP community string (password) you have configured for your mail server and ip_address with the IP address of your email server.

And post here what the results are. Thanks. I'm curious as to whether SNMP is reporting back the values stored in the counters file.

OK response is interesting.

SNMPv2-SMI::experimental.100.5 = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID

The pass statements are definately in snmpd.conf. Perhaps a misconfig in snmpd.conf somewhere? This was a new system that I was setting up so everything needed to be done from scratch.

# snmpget -v2c localhost -c community .1.3.6.1.4.100.2
SNMPv2-SMI::private.100.2 = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID

'community' is my server's SNMP Community string.

what cam i do for this error?

I cannot get it work.
I follow all steps.
I have all my counters set to 0.

I am in debian and I have not set correctly the ksyslog.

I have installed sendmail (instead of postfix) and Mailscanner.
