ERROR SAVE FAILED..

Hi i have cacti installed on my centos dstro,

Now i tried to delete existing daevice being monitored by cacti and re add it again now im getting ERROR SAVE FAILED...

during i save the device which i cant add the device..,

how do i cehck its error log and what might be causing the problem..please any idea and help would be appreciated...

Hi,

i had the same problem,

i was trying to solve it with diferent methods, even reinstalling all.

My environment is a CentOS machine 5.3, cacti 0.8.7e and spine 0.8.7e. Both have all the released patches (except the patch that aply to windows server with IIS because I have a Linux).

The problem is with spine, I'm still working to know why with spine the rrd files aren't been created, but changing the poller to cmd.php is working.

The problem with spine was compiling it!!!


I entered to spine source folder and apply the make uninstall and make clean commands, and restarted the compile process (./configure --prefix=.... make make install)

and don't forget reconfigure de spine.conf file with your database configs and change the poller to spine in cacti settings (web interface).

that's all.
