[solved] Graphs incorrect on a 10Gb interface

Post by bigip »

Hello all,

New to the forum, and indeed cacti.

I am running cacti v0.8.7b on ubuntu.

Apologies if this is a duplicate post but i've been unable to find any info.

The problem I am having is that the graph displaying port util for a 10Gb doesn't appear to accurately reflect what i'm seeing on the interfaces stats. As can be seen on the attachments the max output displayed by cacti is 113.58Mb/sec whilst on the interface stats i'm seeing an average of 350Mb/s.

Any help greatly appreciated

Adjust the upper limit on the graph template, then use 'rrdtool tune' to adjust the ds[traffic_in].max and ds[traffic_out].max values (see 'man rrdtune')

Also see:

[INFO] My traffic graphs won't exceed 114 mbit/s regarding 64-bit counters.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)
