[SOLVED]Graph Title tuning :integrate 'Device Name'

Post by Gilles.29 »

Hello,

I try to monitoring Disk Space of linux server .

How can i integrate automatically, 'Device Name' and 'Mount point' values in the Graph title after the action 'Create Graphs for this Host' ?

Actually, the lasted 2 digits 'Device Name' are trunked in the Graph Title after creating graph like below with the template 'Unix Available Disk Space'.

+ Created graph: adm01-my - Disk Space - /dev/cciss/c0d0
+ Created graph: adm01-my - Disk Space - /dev/cciss/c0d0
+ Created graph: adm01-my - Disk Space - /dev/cciss/c0d0
+ Created graph: adm01-my - Disk Space - /dev/cciss/c0d0
+ Created graph: adm01-my - Disk Space - /dev/cciss/c0d0

I prefer to show the full Device Name in the title like this :
adm01-my - Disk Space - /dev/cciss/c0d0p1 - /usr

Image

Any idea ?

Thanks

Console/Collection Methods/Data Queries/Unix - Get Mounted Partitions

Under Associated Graph Templates, click on 'Available Disk Space'.

Add a new Suggested Value for Graph Template and move it to the top.

Then, use the 'Reapply Suggested Values' option in the 'Graph Management' page to adjust your current graphs.

Future graphs will use the top method.

Many thanks Linegod 8)

Do you have any suggestion to change query_dskDevice with ?

the actual Graph template :
name |host_description| - Free Space - |query_dskDevice|

query_dskMount

You can see what is available by looking at the .xml file. ie:

<code>
cacti/resource/script_queries/unix_disk.xml
</code>

Anything with 'input' is a valid 'query' to be used in a graph.
