Hello!
First I must have to say that this program is great. Great job!
Now my little "problems"!
I have some cisco catalyst 5500, 6000 and 6500 that I want to graph only the Gbit interfaces. By SNMP I couldn't know wich port is what, like wich one is port 5/3. Do you know any easy way to know this?
Second, I would like to do a better graph for my internet link. It would be great to graph per protocol (ftp, www, ssh), and in an ultimate evolution, make some top 10 user graph. Can I do this alone, or have to use another program, like ntop or something.
Thanks for your time!
Satao
PS - Sorry for any mistakes, english is not my native language!
Graph Cisco interfaces and per protocol graphs

As far as I know when you use cacti option "SNMP Interfaces" it will gather the information about all your interfaces in given device. Then click "View Gathered Interfaces" and the info will be displayed on the screen showing both SNMP interface number and description. The description tells you which port is this like "FastEthernet1/3".
For second question I don't have easy answer. Some monitoring software based on snifing (like Ntop) can deliver such statistics for you. Alternative is use Netflow statistics (if you have Cisco box) with cflowd and Flowscan software (which produces rrd files). In any case you need to write your own Data Input script.
Talking about Flowscan I also would like to ask the forum. Have anyone succeed with importing rrd files generated by Flowscan into cacti? Another question are "top 10"-like charts. Is it possible to store such info in rrd files when you do not have fixed data series (top 10 applications may change during the day)?
