cmd.php not running correctly think i hafta add something ..

Hello all,

Okies here goes, now when I installed cacti (apt-get install cacti) I got a warning:

WARNING: include path for php has changed!
libphp-adodb isn't longer installed in /usr/lib/adodb. New installation path is now /usr/share/adodb.
Please update your php.ini file. Maybe you must also change your web-server configuration for this.
*******************************

So like a good Newb I ignored this error and went on with launching php cmd.php which returned this:

*******************************
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_connect() in /usr/share/adodb/drivers/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 327
*******************************

So I've been looking around on the forums and have found out that I am supposed to include something in my php.in (which I suppose is the one in /etc/php4/php.ini)

I honestly don't know what I am supposed to include.

Also when I make a search for "adodb" in php.ini or httpd.conf it returns nothing, is this normal?

All the permissions are set correctly on my directories. I had to make a symlink to the cacti dir in /var/www to bring up cacti (thought apt-get would take care of that). I can log in fine and I get the standard broken graph links.

Sorry to break it to you like this guys, but i think something about the official Debian Packages is wrong for use with cacti, here is my thread about it:

The only way that i got it to work was removing the Debian packages and installing my own compiled from source.
