Problem Update RRD

hi all,

i did a script to count the number of mac on a particular interface on my cisco switch, the debugging log says the following:

when sending the update to the RRD file, it sends a parameter U, someone knows that it can be happening?

Does the script spit out "total:1" or simply "1"? How does the Data Template look like?
