Fresh Install, I need 10 second polling, what do I do?

Post by suave.house »

I just completed a fresh install of cacti on ubuntu Desktop 9.04, following the official documentation to the letter:

http://docs.cacti.net/manual:087:1_inst ... s.1_ubuntu

The only thing I haven't done is set up crontab for 5 minute polling (I need 10 second polling instead). I want to set up 10 second polling, so the question at this point is: WHAT DO I DO NOW?

Now I will tell you up front, I am by no stretch a Linux CLI guru, so go easy on me. What do I do next? Assume that I have no knowledge beyond what the instructions say because basically, besides moving, copying, and editing files, the CLI is a mystery to me. However, I follow instruction well.

Thanks in advance for any assistance that you can offer.
