Did you install the Plugin Architechture, and import the PA.sql file ? You'd also then need to go into User Management, select your username, and select "Plugin Management".

This should then show you the Plugin Management page. If you can see the plugin listed here, we're off to a good start. After enabling the plugin, you'd then go back into User Management, then select your username.

You should then see that you can select the plugin from here to give yourself access to it.

thx! now i got the plugin "WORKING" ( i guess, at least i can see the buttons), but i have a few questions.

actually i just need to monitor 4 things, the cpu usage, harddisk usage, memory and windows services

now only the memory SEEM to be working, for win services, i downloaded the template and import it, but under device the win service just return 0items and 0rows.

Also, (now the memory part seem i can choose to plot graph, but then i try to create threshold, it says "Either No Templates or Threshold(s) Already Exists - No thresholds were created."

Please HELP~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ok - for sake of keeping things sane, let's handle each issue one at a time.

Windows Services - could you please click the "Verbose Query" link, and post the output here?

Thanks

Could you do the following:

1. Change the SNMP version for this host from 1 to 2
2. Save
3. Go back and perform a verbose query for those that have a result of 0

Thanks

Hmm - odd.

Let's try this.

1. Locate the SNMP Agent service on your server
2. Double-click this, and select "Agent"
3. Ensure that Physical, Applications, Datalink and subnetwork, Internet, End-to-end are all ticked
4. Click OK
5. Restart the SNMP service
6. Attempt the verbose queries again

Hold on - you said Windows 2003 right ? I think this may be a failed unload of a profile

Download and install UPHClean from here
http://www.microsoft.com/downloadS/deta ... laylang=en

It just runs as a service, and is designed to force unload a profile if it fails - this is what I *think* is happening here. Let's give this a shot.

Also, have a look through the system event logs on this server to see if there are any indications of a profile failing to be unloaded.

In addition to this, how does your scheduled task look ? Does it use a local or domain account ? Not that this usually matters for SNMP, but am curious...

I'd like to try the UPHClean, as Windoze is known for this - particularly 2003 server. As you might be able to tell, I'm no MS fan - I use Linux.
