Graphing Multiple IP's on One Interface

Post by kurt2439 »

I found a google article saying that this was not possible due to the MIB that checks this, but it was from 2003 so I don't know if it's still true

I have one interface with 10 or so IP's and I want the breakdown of traffic on each but I don't know if it works. I can see the IP's listed when I do a verbose query for the SNMP Interface Statistics but it is just using the last IP listed. I'm guessing it's actually getting stats for everything going through the interface but perhaps not.

I am using the SNMP agent that comes with Windows 2003. Anyone doing this successfully?

Post the verbose snmp query against that box for snmp interface. My guess is that if multiple IPs are assigned to a single Index, then it [still] is not possible to get all the IPs via SNMP -- you will have to use WMI.
