Do you have a host you can "mark offline" for a while to test this ? Might not work with a host that's already down, as you've changed the polling.php when it's already down.

Which version of THOLD do you have ? Sounds like it's an older version.

Ah - that explains it. The version of THOLD I offered was 4.2. The version you have it pretty old by comparison. Are you running the latest version of Cacti and PIA ?

By the way, I don't get annoyed by questions. We are all here to help each other, and that's what makes this forum what it is. :P

No problems.

Firstly, let's start with the version of Cacti. If you click "Console", at the top right hand side of the screen will be the version number. For example, mine says "Version 0.8.7e".

Next, in the same "Console" view, click "Plugin Management", which will be under "Configuration". Here, you will see the Cacti version (again), and on the right in the same column, you will see the PIA version. Although mine says 2.4, it's actually 2.5 (the version wasn't changed, but the files were, if that makes sense)..

If you can let me know what these values are, we can get you working properly.

I think it is !!

Is this a production system ? We really should upgrade this, but I'd advise you to do this in test first before in live...

As you are quite behind on both Cacti and plugin versions, I think you should plan an upgrade on a test system to see how it goes before tackling the live version.
