Graph types

Post by arie01 »

Hello,

I'm new to Cacti and I was wondering if someone could explain to me the differences between the different graph types (in the drop down list).
Also, which types are most commonly used for firewalls (Check Point, Cisco), routers (Cisco), switches (Cisco, HP, D-Link) and hosts (Windows server 2003, Windows 2008 server, Linux, BSD)?

I may not be in the right section to ask my question, so please feel free to direct me to the proper section for future posts.

Thank you for your reply,
Arie

Well the different graph types are for... different devices/hardware. It shouldn't matter what's commonly use -- it's what YOU need for YOUR hardware. Search the script forum for others who have created/posted their script/templates.
